One of the last stretches of California’s coastline where working ranches remain part of everyday life. Photographed entirely on film and primarily in black and white, the project aims at building a lasting historical record of San Luis Obispo County’s cattle, sheep, and horse ranches. New work will be published here as the archive continues to grow.
